“Liam,” she murmured. “What are we going to do about… you know…” Her eyes trailed down and his gaze followed them to where her dress had fallen over her legs, not quite as smooth as it should have been.
But Liam just smiled. “I’ve actually had quite a bit of time to think about this, when I was beating myself up for losing you forever.”
“You haven’t lost me.”
“Anyway. I decided I don’t care. We’ll make it work. Figure it out together. If you want surgery, we’ll get it for you. And if you don’t, I love you just as much. There are thousands of ways to make each other feel good, Jamie.” He broke into a wide smile. “It would hardly be the first time we’ve gotten a little… creative… in the bedroom. Have you had any dreams of Spain yet?”
A creeping flush broke across Jamie’s cheeks. “Now that you mention it… um, yes…”
Liam chuckled and flipped her onto her back on the bed as a startled, happy yelp escaped her lips. He crawled up over her, showering her with kisses as he spoke.
“Then… you know… exactly… how sexy… things can get without traditional intercourse.”
Jamie swallowed, feeling a growing heat spread across her entire body. She’d never felt so turned on before in her life… but oddly, her cock wasn’t erect at all. It was more of a deep yearning for Liam, a desire to become one with him… to take him inside of her.
“Liam…” she whispered. “You can do anything you want to me. Now and always.”
He grinned and trailed a finger down the side of her face. “You’re going to love every minute of it.”
And she knew he was right. Even if her body wasn’t exactly everything she might have wished it was.
But suddenly Liam paused and straightened, kneeling over her on the bed. She propped herself up on her elbows. “What is it?”
“I just remembered. How could I have forgotten? Hold on…”
He leapt off the bed and began rummaging through his clothes on the floor, clearly searching for something.
“Liam, what are you doing?”
“Just a second—aha! Here it is.”
He held his hand up triumphantly, and hanging from it was the same delicate silver chain that he’d shown Jamie the night they met. The charm at the end bore the Greek symbol for femininity, the hand mirror, with a small purple stone set in the middle of the cross. It glittered in the light of the bedroom lamp, and it seemed to be even more beautiful than the first time she’d seen it.
She laughed playfully. “I think that belongs to me.”
Liam laughed. “And so it does. It hardly seems to matter now that we’re together, but let me return it to you.” He hopped back onto the bed, teasing at her bare legs with his hands as he worked his way back up her body, and when he finally reached her face she smiled up at him.
“Go on. Put it on, Prince Charming. Cinderella needs her slipper.”
Liam ceremoniously lowered the necklace over her head and let it slip down around her neck. “Ta-da! And it looks gorgeous on you.”
It slid on smoothly, and the wearing of it felt so right to Jamie—more than even knowing it was a symbol of their love, it felt like it truly belonged to her. The feeling was simply one more confirmation of everything she already knew. She raised a hand to trail across the cool metal of necklace resting lightly against her chest, suddenly wishing that it could nestle between her full breasts just as it had in her dreams of her past lives, rather than resting on her flat chest as it was. If only the necklace were magical somehow, could somehow restore one of those past bodies to her…
But of course, that was silly—wishful thinking. It would be a long time before anything nestling between her breasts would be possible for her in this life… if it ever was. Her face fell.
“Oh Jamie, don’t,” Liam murmured. “I can see what you’re thinking. I love you just as you are. Be here with me.”
“But I—”
“Shh,” he replied, laying a finger against her lips. “Listen to me: There is no way that you could be that would make me love you any more or less than the way you are right now.”
He took his finger away and moved in to begin slowly, sensuously kissing her neck. The rough scrape of his beard tickled against her and she was delighted at how much she enjoyed the sensation. Rather than feeling anxious and self-conscious, she relaxed more than she ever had before, falling into the sensation of rightness that she felt more with Liam than with anyone else before in her life. She was safe here—here with her soulmate.
Liam moved from her neck to her chest, carefully kissing around the necklace, and then slid his hands down the length of her body. His fingers over the fabric of her dress teased her, made her want him even more and she sighed and began to arch her back. All of the shaving she’d done had made her skin feel more sensitive than any other time she could remember, and when he reached her legs it was driving her crazy with lust. He raised the hem of her dress and she lifted a hand to stop him.
“Liam…”
“Trust me,” he whispered.
And then she let him peel away the silky fabric; first the dress, then the bra, and finally he slid off her panties too, rolling the material down her legs in a way that sent shivering sensations up and down the length of his body. She studied his face for any hint of distaste or revulsion, but he kept his eyes on hers and simply continued with an eager, excited smile. She closed her eyes and her head rocked back as he continued kissing her bare skin, forgetting the parts of her body which were momentarily upsetting to her, and the strange erotic sensation overtaking her began to feel more and more like the sensations from her dreams—not at all like the urgent, messy feelings she had when she’d touch herself in private, but more like a gentle, building wave.
Liam lifted her rolling hips slightly, smiling at the way her obvious need made her body writhe, and the tautness of his fingers grasping her smooth ass and thighs was almost too much to bear.
“I’m so hard for you, my love,” Liam murmured. “Can I…”
Jamie bit her lip and nodded, rolling herself over with an eagerness that surprised her and presenting herself to him. Again his hands slid across the smooth skin of her flanks. She felt nervous, having never done this before, not in this lifetime, but Liam persisted with a gentle tenderness that made her want to yield every part of herself to him. She was surprised how excited she felt!
She waited while Liam took a small bottle from the nightstand and quickly applied some liquid to himself, and then he did the same for her. When his slick fingers breached the inside of her ass for the first time she whimpered—she’d played with toys before, but this felt different. The warmth and the gentle pressure, moving in and out, probing deeper and deeper, was easier with each breath as she relaxed and let him take control. Finally, he removed his fingers and nudged his cock up against her, rocking himself gently against her to help her get used to the feel.
Jamie had never felt more feminine—Liam fully in control, grasping her hips tightly, her own excitement building into a thrilling crescendo, and now she rocked with him, pushing back eagerly. When he finally entered her she gasped, tears springing into her eyes more from the shock of it than from pain, but shock quickly turned into a low moan of pleasure as he rocked against her. He was hitting… something… she didn’t know what, but it was definitely the right thing to hit.
“Ohhhh…” she moaned, relaxing more, relaxing into the pleasure.
Liam’s excitement grew, his motions becoming more frantic, and low moans began to escape his throat too as he thrust harder and harder into her, and her body shook with the impact of each thrust against her soft ass. She closed her eyes and rode him.
The pleasure, the strange sensation of full-body build, continued to crescendo, and Liam’s fingers tightened against her flanks.
“Fuck, you’re so gorgeous… so hot…” he growled.
But she was so lost in her own pleasure she could barely hear him. It was almost overwhelming now.
She wasn’t even waiting for him anymore. If he slowed, she pushed back harder, raking against the warm hardness of his cock and blasting herself into higher and higher realms of ecstasy. She wasn’t sure anything could feel any better than what she felt right now. How had she lived this long and missed out on this?
Her breathing grew frantic and sweat slicked her smooth, sensitive skin. It was overwhelming. She was lost in the torrent.
“I… fuck, I’m going to…” Liam said.
And then a low groan escaped his lips and she suddenly felt him swell inside of her as his fingers pressed hard into her ass, almost lifting her off the bed.
The building crescendo that had been rolling across her body burst into an exploding wave of ecstasy, and she cried out in joy as the pleasure rippled all across her while Liam shuddered inside of her. Afterwards, they both collapsed back onto the pillows, sweating and smiling.
Liam wrapped his arm around her neck and drew her close, showering her face with kisses, and she giggled and snugged closer to him.
“That… was… incredible…” he panted. “You’re incredible.”
“And you’re everything I ever wanted,” she replied.
The two of them dozed off together there, safe and warm in one another’s arms, and Jamie couldn’t believe how different she felt now that everything was finally right in the world. They’d been together 1000 times before, they’d be together in this life, and they’d be together in a thousand more… every night would be a confirmation of that fact. It really was everything she’d ever hoped for and more. She knew now that she would be strong enough for whatever the future held for her, in both this one and in every life to come.
The next morning she awoke to the chirping of birds from more pleasant dreams of her and Liam’s past together, and she felt refreshed and joyful rather than tormented by them now. He was still cradling her, with an angelic smile plastered across his sleeping face. She kissed him lightly on the lips without disturbing him and slipped out from under his arm to check her phone.
There was a text from Marisa, telling her she felt awful about last night and was so so sorry, but Jamie just smiled and typed back a quick text to thank her and tell her everything was okay now—she’d explain later.
Then she rose and walked over to the open window to breathe in the sunny morning air of the city.
Liam shifted back in the bed and grumbled, still mostly asleep. “Are those birds? I never hear birds…”
There was a small bird, though, singing a beautiful morning song on the branch of a nearby tree. It paused and shook its wings as Jamie stared at it in surprise, and then broke out once more into its beautiful melody. The bird was all-white except for a light dusting of blue at the tips of their wings, and Jamie had never seen a bird like this before in her life.
But how could she fail to recognize an actual songsparrow?
“I didn’t think they were real…” she murmured.
The bird suddenly finished its song and took flight, soaring into the bright morning sunlight with its wings spread wide.
Jamie watched it with a small smile on her face until it disappeared into a tiny speck in the open, blue sky.
Finally, everything was right in the world, and everything was just as it was meant to be.
Even her.
The end… for now. Thanks for reading!

Chapter 1
“It’s just not fair,” Russ said for probably the millionth time that afternoon.
He looked toward his friend and neighbor Krystal in the armchair across from him for some further sign of pity, but she only sighed and gave the slightest, glassy-eyed nod, shifting her legs from underneath her to stretch out her muscles. She and Allan, Russ’s roommate, had been sitting there for at least an hour as he complained about his most recent break-up, and while so far they’d managed to listen patiently like the good friends they were, he could feel their sympathy drying up with every second that ticked by.
“If I was a girl I wouldn’t have this problem, you know,” he added, and this time he caught Krystal rolling her eyes in response. “It’s true!”
Allan heaved a huge sigh on the couch next to him, staring at him intently with his head propped up on one fist.
“You said that already,” he pointed out.
Russ pursed his lips in a poor imitation of a puppy-dog pout, and Krystal snorted. The sun was just beginning to set, and their front window was ablaze with a pink and orange sky that demanded attention, but Russ wasn’t done complaining yet. His friends might be sick of hearing about it, but he was still all worked up—the situation wasn’t fair, damn it, and he was sick of having to deal with people judging him for something that wasn’t his fault at all.
Girls just couldn’t handle his out-of-control sex drive, no matter how natural a healthy libido might be, and he was downright sick of it.
The armchair Krystal reclined in was positioned directly in front of the window, giving her fiery orange hair a halo-y glow in the evening light of the setting sun. It made her look even more gorgeous than usual, with her beautiful creamy skin and soft brown eyes that glinted with hints of the orange tones from her curls. If she hadn’t been the most die-hard lesbian Russ had ever met, he definitely would have been going after her—he and Allan made joking passes at her half the time anyway, because she was just that hot.
She was also, in addition to being a hardcore lipstick lesbian, the only woman he’d ever known that had a sex drive as high as his was. That was also where some of his attraction was from, if he was honest about it—anyone who could possibly keep up with his ridiculously active libido was automatically in the running for Russ, no matter how gay they said they were.
It had been a problem all his life, ever since puberty hit and he found himself awash with hormones and thoughts about the people the around him in a way he’d never been before. He was one of those kids who’d spent his weekends in his bedroom with his laptop and a bottle of Jergens, right up until he realized he was handsome enough to actually date—and fuck—most of the girls in his class. Then he’d gone through a whole string of bad relationships, one after another. All his memories of high school were about the girls he’d hooked up with, who’d dumped his ass after finding out exactly how often their new boyfriend wanted to fuck. College was no different, and he’d hoped it might change after college, as the people around him started to mature, but he still hadn’t found anyone willing to stick around with someone who wanted sex constantly. He didn’t really blame them. It was entirely within their right to do so—he’d quickly discovered that almost no one could keep up with his sex drive, and that even fewer people wanted to listen to him whine about it. Two of the only people tolerant enough to do
so were sitting in the room with him, and even they were tired of listening to this story.
But even though he’d accepted that it was a legitimate reason to break up with him, it still stung every single time. Amy had been smart and sharp and funny, cuter than a button, and had curves that would make an hourglass jealous. They’d been together for eight months before she’d finally gotten tired of him, and Russ had enjoyed making her laugh and making her squeal in equal measure. At first she had seemed to love sex almost as much as he did, and for a small while he’d hoped that she might finally be the one… but it had been foolish to let himself hope. Soon enough her eager consent had grown more and more reluctant, and they began to fight about how often Russ wanted sex, just like every prior relationship.
The breakup stung even worse than usual since she’d explained there was nothing wrong with him—she’d genuinely liked his personality, liked spending time with him and liked hanging out with Allan and Krystal too. She just couldn’t keep up, and the pressure that she felt to do so was getting to be too much.
He’d taken her out for a fancy dinner the night before, wanting to wine and dine her with his latest paycheck and maybe have a quickie in the bathroom before the food arrived like they’d done on their first date, but instead of the fun evening he’d anticipated, she’d sorrowfully informed him that they needed to talk. With a soft kiss on his cheek and a wave, Amy was gone, and suddenly he was alone again… and hornier than ever.
“God, this sucks so much,” he moaned into his hands. Krystal nodded and Allan merely shrugged his shoulders, unsure of what to say to console his roommate and best friend that he hadn’t already said. This was the third major relationship that Russ had lost in this way, and it was difficult to keep repeating the refrain of ‘oh, you’ll find someone else, it’s okay,’ with such an obvious pattern.
“Can you teach me how to keep a girl?” Russ asked Krystal, and she snorted again.
